St Clare's Primary School Harold's Cross Dublin 6W

On 24th April a speaker came to talk to 5th and 6th Classes about the Eco-Eating Children's Art Competition which was organised as part of the 2009 Green Planet Awards.

After a talk on the benefits of a balanced diet and how adding organic, local produce into your diet is not only good for you but for the planet too, the four classes were then asked to draw their Eco-Eating super hero.

The posters were displayed at an exhibition on Friday 1st May in the market hall of the Dublin Food Co-Op, 12 Newmarket, Dublin 8 (click here to see location map).

5th and 6th Class children, together with their parents were invited to sample food and drink from a range of local producers. A prize-giving for the winning posters also took place at the event, and one of St. Clare's pupils won a prize for his poster!
