ST. CLARE'S PARENT ASSOCIATION

YOU & every other parent/guardian are members of the Parent Association.


THE PARENT ASSOCIATION is the structure through which parents in a school can work together for the best possible education for their children.

We know from research that children do better, behave better and are happier at school where parents and teachers work closely together and when parents are able to give their children support at home.

Teachers can do a better job where they are supported by and work closely with parents.

Parents can do a better job when they have the support of other parents.

All parents together can play their part in planning for the best possible education for their children.


THE PARENT ASSOCIATION COMMITTEE

While all parents are part of the parent Association, not all can be involved or ned to be involved in the day-to-day business of organising the work. It is for this reason that parents elect a committee which is responsible for supporting the school by organising, helping with and fundraising at events such as the Christmas/Summer Concert, Greyhound Race Night, Pub Quiz, Cake Sale and most of us have enjoyed or will enjoy the refreshments provided at the Communion/Confirmation/Graduation parties.

Funds raised over the years have helped the school provide the best for Your child- whiteboards, computers, new windows, extra rooms, furniture, etc..

It's more important now than ever that we continue to fundraise as much as we can so our children can continue to benefit from the excellent educational facilities provided by our school.


WHAT CAN YOU DO TO HELP?

* Donate any unwanted, unopened, non-perishable gifts for our raffles
* If you or any of your family/friends work in the retail sector ask
them if the shop/business can make a donation.
* Send an email out to friends/workmates for any unwanted gifts.
* Donate old, unwanted mobile phones & copper change to the school.
* Attend the school fundraising events and ask your family/friends to
come along too. (Race Night, Pub Quiz, Cake Sale)
* Offer to help out at events such as
Communion/Confirmation/Graduation party - this costs you nothing but a
little of your time.

Cake Sale - Sunday 16th of October- After Mass - Parish Centre, Holary Rosary Church. (You can support by donating or purchasing cakes)

GREYHOUND FUNDRAISING RACE NIGHT- TUESDAY 25TH OCTOBER, HAROLDS CROSS GREYHOUND STADIUM, FROM 7PM.
(TICKETS WILL BE ON SALE FROM SCHOOL IN EARY OCTOBER)
