Another fantastic day in St. Clare's for day 2 of ASW 2023. A day full of FUN and ACTIVITY!
WAKE UP SHAKE UP
The whole school started off the day with Wake Up Shake Up in the yard at 8:30am! Thanks to our seniors for leading the dance routines this morning.
HERO CHALLENGES
Today Sadie's dad Pat Jennings Jr and Cody's cousin Jack Folan set us some active challenges.
Pat's Balancing Challenge
Pat Jennings Jr is the goalkeeping coach for St. Patrick's Athletic football team. He set us the challenge to balance on one leg for 20 seconds and then balance on the other leg. We had to make sure to keep our knee in line with our hip!
Jack's Squat, Plank and Jumping Jacks Challenge
Jack Folan plays for the u20 Galway GAA football team. He set us the challenge to complete squats for 30 seconds, plank for 30 seconds and jumping jacks for 30 seconds.
PARACHUTE GAMES
Children in Junior and Senior Infants and the AS classes took part in parachute games today.
QR Code Orienteering
1st - 6th took part in a QR Code Orienteering session. This activity involved using our active walkway, technology and teamwork! The QR codes were attached to 13 control points on our Active Walkway Loop 1.
DROP EVERYTHING AND DANCE
EXACTLY what it says...the whole school dropped everything and danced when the music blasted through our school at 11:30am!
Even the choir had to DROP EVERYTHING AND DANCE!
RUN A LAP A DAY CHALLENGE
All classes completed their running challenge today!
Another busy and exciting day was had by all. We can't wait for day 3!
