A play therapy is being provided weekly by Caroline our school play therapist. Caroline has focussed on Sensory play in our first three sessions. This really suits the needs of our autistic students and encourages their communication as well as imaginative play. Activities so far include making pretend snow, exploring essential oil scents and sticking colourful papers to create a stained glass effect train.
This week, to cheer us up in January, we had an icecream party with a parent very generously providing the treat! Our friends from the Middle AS class were delighted to be invited along. Every day can be
an ice-cream day!
