Junior and Senior Infants love learning outside and were so excited to celebrate National Tree Week. Before we went outside we talked about trees and what animals might live in trees. We love watching the squirrels climb the trees in our school grounds and we learnt that many other animals and insects use trees for shelter and food. We watched a video about how trees grow and it reminded us about our wonderful learning about the life cycle of a plant.

We labelled the different parts of a tree and then we went outside with some paper and a crayon. We completed bark rubbings of different trees in our school grounds. We even found a snail hiding in a tree. We had so much and loved seeing the different patterns created. It was a great day!
